I feel that Danny Frawley's ineptness and our recruiting is the reason for our dismal performances over the last few years. But being a younger bloke I was too short sighted or didn't have a deep enough understanding of what creates a good team to really know what was going on off the field.
So I ask some of the older fans who took a great interest in the club during the era what wee your thoughts?
Did you shake your heads when we traded our picks away for hacks such as Hudson, King Weller, Morrison, Stafford, Sziller etc?
Did you realise the repercussion of these moves for our team in the future?
The only people who remain on the list who played before 2002 for Richmond are:
Richo, Bowden, Tivendale, Coughlan and Pettifer. None of whom I can see playing in a side that will push for the finals.
