Ask yourselves this. Would you prefer the tigers to finish b/w 8-12 and be competitive OR have a shocker of a year with very few wins and finish bottom with a priorty pick?
I ask this because strangely I find myself not being very upset when the tigers lose or draw this season after the start weve had.
I myself think that we needed a year like this ala the bombers. Watch us next year improve as we draft a couple of guns and pick up a decent player in the pre season draft as our young players mature and fill out.

This has been raised before and I repeat. Do we have a choice?

Build team structures and combinations that can repeatedly win games - the rest will take care of itself in due course.

The only reason to bottom out is if you have given up on your list.

After a while, losing will be real bad for our young players. So we need a few wins far more than we need a slightly better draft position.

If we get some decent wins this year, it will add to the kids' education. If we don't, they'll have to go through the up and down thing again next year until they learn.

Then there's the supporter factor; a bad year will mean people start looking over their shoulders. You know, the Richmond madness. Do we want that as well? For a slightly better draft pick?

No brainer.

Getting a few wins at the end of last year didn't add to the kids education and didn't kickstart season 2007 now did it!!

Losing this many games in a row would actually encourage the team to bond stronger than before I'd imagine.

When they come out of this they will be very tight for having shared the experience, let's hope we get a PP this year without losing faith in each other. Polak's articles suggest the team haven't lost faith in each other and the atmosphere is positive.

The ideal option give the way the season has gone would be to wind up with the spoon, but win the last game of the season. That way you get the no 1 pick and give the team a bit of confidence at the end of the season.

The ideal optionis to win every single game and I hope the team are trying to do just that.
