Whats goin' on with these umps?

Its good to get somefrustration out on them every now and then. They make me feel better and I was Gordon Ramsay at one stage last night when no.20 for the saints armitage i think literally dropped the ball on the hff.

Then lenny hayes got a holding decision his way infront of us when kennedy got sucked in.

I dont ever blame a result on the maggots, they werent at fault, but they need to work out if they are going to pay some rules sometimes or all the time. Is in the back always in the back or is holding the ball always holding the ball? What is dropping the ball really?

Not their fault, but they need to become consistant. In the back and holding/dropping the ball are things that keep on remaining an unsolved mystery.

I think they have worked it out HT...the maggots pay some of the rules sometimes as you state in your post.

The umpiring was very, bloody ordinary. Some confusing decisions and non-decisions. Whilst passion and logic would say they cost us dearly we weren't destined to win. We wasted opportunities, our early disposal was poor and in a sense we were playing catchup footy against a team with over 1000 games on us. 1000 games of rat cunning.

The boys will learn and will grow into a fearsome unit.

Bastards didn't give us a chance in the last quarter.

I hope number 22 goes to the NBL and stays there.

Philster! Nail on the head mate. if i didnt know any better, id swear that you were listening in on my conversation with me fellow tigers re: every single moment you have pointed out!!!

The umpires robbed us., the fact that these (shocking decisions) cost us two goals stings even more.
Add to that whites 20m (and that prob understating) pass to Sarge that wasnt paid!!! At the time i thought the ump had judged that the ball had hit the turf.......OUTRAGEOUS

At half time the free kick count was 17-8 our way. I turned around to my son and said: "Get ready for the avalanche of non-frees in the second half.

i said the same thing to a mate. knew the count would be evened up.

that 50m not paid when we clearly were stopped from moving the ball quickly with a push to the chest was a joke. its been paid all year & for less than that. sux big time

The Aints received 4 frees in attacking 50.... and you can only guess how many we got..... NONE

ur kidding me, i would gladly have the saints with more frees but the tiges getting 4 or 5 in our fwd 50 resulting in 3 goals, ahh that sounds good.
Same thing happended against the dawks, we had more frees but they had 7 or 8 frees in their fwd 50 which resulted in 4 goals, do the math.

Geeze we are starting to sound like Collingwood supporters with all this moaning.
And it pays off for them , as we played them the next week and who got all the frees . As the saints cried about Revolt and we see how the green snot blocks looked after him .

The Simmonds tap along the ground in the 1st quarter, deemed a "scoop" by the umpire - fee to St Kilda;
Next quarter, Gehrig "scoops" the ball out with one hand, deemed a tap by the umpire - play on;

Cant blame the umpires though when Richmond players consistently spot up opposition players with basic errors like turnovers and handballs. When we miss our targets our effieciency rate in this area is high.

Oh...I forgot to mention, was that Terry Wallace blaming the umpires after the game last night?

Hit the nail on the head.

That's why they call you Astute Tiger.

umpires got them back in the game, tigers were going to win by 50pts

you forgot the one that started it all, MILNE leaning back playing for a free kick and getting it?

said it was holding the man, weak umpiring

The inconsistency is horrendous.

First 2 minutes of the 3rd, Milne gets tackled 15m out from goal, throws it away with his right hand, but nothing is paid. Same passage of play he gets given the holding against King.

It was probably there but missed free kicks *smile* me more than wrongly paid ones.

Start of the last 1/4 - Gherig holding both the arms of McGuane in the goal square, preventing him getting to Milne's kick, which floated just above their heads, for a goal.

McGuane went ape - I'm not bloody surprised...!

The one that got me, possibly the most, was when Milne had both arms around Moore and slung him before running onto a lose ball and goaling... just another disgraceful effort by the umpires!

Not saying they cost us the game but it sure wasn't a 'even and fair' effort on their part.

Andy D cashman has gone into his turtle shell when the umps have gibbed us as well as the timekeeper.

Quicker than the roadrunner when pointing the finger when clubs make mistakes.

Bloody hypocrite!

The AFL smell like rotten eggs.
