When did the Wallace & Miller Honeymoon end for you? (If it has?)

Personally for me it ended during the 2005 draft. I couldn't believe that we only had three draft picks in what should have been another pivotal year in the clubs rebuild. I rationalised it at the time by half swallowing the excuse that it wasn't a very deep pool of talent, and that there would be feverish activity the following year to get extra picks to make up for it. Well obviously that never happened and it was at this point that I stop listening to the spin-doctoring. Last night was just a reaffirmation that we haven't gone nearly far enough in cutting the deadwood. But when was it for you?

Greg Miller deserves no honeymoon. He escapes scrutiny for his errors. He is a joke living of psat glories such as recruiting Carey and Longmire to the Roos

Time for Elma Fudd to be shown the door

I'm stuck. We cannot get rid of Greg & Terry otherwise we will go backwards, they just need to wise up and fast.

Miller has shown no nous as a football manager other than securing Wallace. His list management strategies of trading picks for players has damaged us far more than Frawley did. Miller's (coupled with Beck) drafting has been abysmal, his teaming with Francis Jackson does not look much better.

Wallace IMMEDIATELY screwed up by trying to win every game in 2005 rather than get his list right. The 2005 draft was icing on the cake.

Losing all those early games in 2006 set Richmond up to taking the best players in the 2006 super draft. What does Wallace do, play the veterans on their last legs to win enough games to get us out of prime drafting position.

So for me the honeymoon never started, but I do think the Miller/Wallace marriage is the only one Richmond can have in the foreseeable future.

Up until the start of this season I believe we have made reasonable progress under Wallace & Miller.Having said that the honeymoon is now over & questions need to be answered re our recruiting, fitness & supposed gameplan.

No time for honey moons at this club I said at the start of the they will be 0 and 6 and the saliva bath will come. The ferals have had a gutful as yet another season is wasted and its only April. Wallace will walk the tiger boulevard of broken dreams just like those before him. There will come a day when a coach refuses to give up draft picks and clears out duds. Sadly again it looks like it will not be this one.

Here hear Laff.
These two buffons surely have shares in Jayco caravans, because their will be massive sales
splurge as ferals start planning there september holidays!!!

I feel as if the honeymonn still continues - I know I felt as if I was well and truly *smiled* over last night.

Those who go on about poor recruiting have no idea. The kids have not let us down this yr......the senior blokes have. Patto has battled against Acland/Cloke, Everitt/Jolly, Fraser/Richards in successive weeks. Tough gig.....even for a senior player. Rainesy had a knee last night but is below 06....what pick was he again?

I think its time for tw to be a little more adventurous at the selection table. The Coburg game will be interesting!

There seems to be a growing attitude towards Miller & Wallace & not just from the usual suspects! They will have to do alot of dribbling & results) to get some faith back! Prob to come out & drop some players that deserve to be dropped & for the first time in their 5 year plan actually start rebuilding this club.I cringe to think what they will do with the high draft pick we look like receiving this year.
