incident that was born from sheer agression? Like rough play or charging or even dare I say it strkiking.

I keep on hoping that at least one of our players will go in extra hard and show the opposition that we will not be pushed around, so what if they get suspended, but I believe like probably most other teams that we are neither aggressive at the ball nor the man and that opposing teams easily impart their will on the ball, man and ultimately the match.

What am I talking about - Rich v Ess I think in 1995 when (please forgive my memory) was it Gary O'Donell got taken out by ???? I'll remember his name as soon as I post this, but at that moment the game turned and we grew in stature and confidence as it displayed that we could physically stand up to the opposition. Was it Turner.

Anyway, I don't care about the result on the weekend, I just want to see agression at the ball and at the man.
Is that too much to ask? Just keep it simple, keep it aggressive.

The players under Walla$e never get close enough to their opponent for any physical contact to occur!

They're still trying to work out what a tackle is. ::)

Yes, it was Turner. Although he wasn't reported for that one.

As to your broader point, I started a thread on this a couple of days ago. During Wallace and Frawley's time as coach our players have basically not been before the tribunal for anything more than minor wrestling charges. I definitely don't want to see players getting rubbed out, but having players up before the tribunal would at least be a sign that we've got players trying to be a bit aggressive.

On the other hand, Fremantle has been trying the aggression thing for years and they're crap too.

Greg Stafford and Tim Fleming?

I get your point but the above names [and T.O.s Freo comparison] suggests there's more to it than that.

So being reported is the best way to play good footy???? We show no agression at the ball let alone an opponent.

Blatant stupidity in the sense of Freo is one thing, but Timtam does raise a good point.
Aggression at the ball & man, such as the Hawks for example is what we need. If they happen to cross the mark now & then so be it, our current attack (read no attack) isn't getting us anywhere.

As for the last bloke rubbed out, I don't know if he was the last, Howat did 2 or 3 weeks from round 1 last year, gee hope he wasn't meant to be our enforcer.
