When will our new draftees begin training?

Today/tomorrow.

Shane, Andrew and Daniel were in Melbourne on Saturday (Shane flew in after the draft) and Jack and Carl were due in today.

(FWIW, the current guys were out training at 8.00 am this morning.)

Thanks Red. I can't wait for the first training report to come in saying 'Peterson took his first hanger today' :hihi

Just say the lads crossing over into Gosh paddock at out about 2pm as well.

Almost had JON splattered across my windscreen.  But the pundits were right he as great in trafffic.   He is much bigger bloke when you see him in person, really long in basketball venuclar.  Looks to be 6'3 with 6'9 wing span.  iIf he puts on 10-12 kg (and he did look a bit thicker then last year) he will be a KKP in modern football.

I've been told all new draftees, as well as Polak, will be at the Club80 night tomorrow night.
And unfortunately for those who haven't booked as yet, it is now booked out.
But don't worry, myself, and I'm sure others, will let you know all that went on, as well as just how tall/big they actually are.

Shers can you seek confirmation that JON has now grown to 192cms please? Thanks in advance. :beer

Don't know how tall JON is but I said G'day to him after one of our games while he had his wing in a sling. He is a fair spread across the shoulders and just needs to put a bit of beef on the frame, but I doubt he will ever get real big, more like a Daryl White build, fairly wiry.

I spoke to JON him for a while at the B&F not that long ago.
192 cm is just on 6'4'', and I'm sure he isn't that tall.
He'd be 6'3'' now though, I would think, just on 190cm.
And the great thing is he's the first person to tell you he needs to put on muscle, so he's hitting the weights hard.
But if I get the chance, I'll ask.

I like the way our skinny blokes recognise they need to beef up and that they often make reference to the fact that they are spending a lot of time in the gym. Good.

However, what I rarely hear from any of them (or the club) is that their diet too has been structured around putting body mass on. For example, are these guys consuming a high protein diet to aid in all their weight work ?

Bananas, milk shakes (soy), egg whites, lean beef, chicken, veal etc. etc. I’d have them eating copious amounts. Copious I say !!! Copiousssssss !! Plus putting a heap of whey powder etc. into everything.

We gotta make these runts “bloody huuuge man.”

Beer works
If you drink truckloads of the stuff you can end up quite chubby

Redders, at the player link-up dinner, Angus commented about having to eat a lot more in order to stack on the weight. He made a comment about patto (hazy memory there) being able to put the food away, and how he had to step it up to get bigger.

I think the two would go hand in hand for the players.

I hope so.

I concur with the General, Angus also told me that the players all have different diets that they must "stick to". It doesn't make much sense for them to be pumping iron if they dont feed the muscles ;D
