When will Wallace make the hard decisions

Tivendale will stay, like it or not. I'm neither here nor there on the matter. I also think if Kellaway is going, we may as well ship Gas off somewhere and get anything for him. Keep Rayzor, Trade someone for a key back, draft another, and with Thirsty Will back, the Backline will be better than before.

tivendale

1st half - 3 possesions
2nd half - 12 possesions

whatever you want to say, these stats dont lie

soft as butter

aslong as he is in the side i will never get my hopes up and think that we are improving

of course he didn't get many possessions, he was tagging cousins!

and if you have a go at him about that, i'll ask you who did you want to tag cousins?

:hihi

We do need to develop our own players, and they need to develop playing together over a few years. When we have a team of younger ones who have played together for 3 to 4 years then we should see a better season.

Those players have been recruited over the last couple of years, and will be again this year.
But the Man that walks on water came with a 5 year plan , he has now used 2 of them.

Your mail that Roach is staying is looking a little shakey T80. Do you still think he'll remain on the list?
Not saying you're wrong but I think I'll take the wait & see aopproach with this scoop... but if you're on the money..

Off - Gaspar, Chaffey, Kellaway, Tivendale, Rodan, Stafford, Roach, Moore, Humm
Not sure - Hall, Hartigan, Jackson, P Bowden, McGuane, Limbach
Need a better year in 2007 - Krakouer, Schulz, Brown, Knobel, Myer, Foley, Hughes, Casserley and Graham
But there will only be 6-8 changes so one or two of the offs could survive another year, but lets cut deep and bring in more youth

I agree with the off list billy but putting Casserley & Hughes on a need a better year list? Cass was injured in the pre-season and never got going and Cleve was finding his way. Casserley will be the best of our draftees from last year and Cleve will be useful we just need to be patient with him, injury free and Trav will be in the senior side come rd1 next year.

Good job by Wallace to give Tivendale a task to tag Cousins. Just one more test in deciding Tivendale's future. I think Tivendale has performed quite well this year, has provided alot of drive, and has definitely had his best season for a while. Potentially I think whether he stays on depends on whether a trade can be found, cant see him just being delisted.

He is an outside player so will perform well when the Tigers are going well, and find it tough when we are not. He has a beautiful long and accurate kick when he chooses to use it. Is 10th in average inside 50s per game in the league and 18th in long kicks. Has also made a great effort in improving his defensive side this year, something he is not a natural at, so needs credit for that. On the downside he does tend to drill the ball alot and this is where he often comes unstuck. He also only has one side, which can be an issue and is why he really needs space to get on the left. He also appears to get caught more than average indicating sometimes a lack of awareness.

Overall he does have some value in my opinion even though the hordes will tell you he has not. Along with Krakouer probably the most maligned player at Richmond since Patrick Bowden a few years back.

Oops that should read Joel Bowden in the last paragraph. Bananas, they all look the same

Five years of unqualified success wasn't the promise.

The phrase 'five-year plan' was originally coined by Barassi when he took over at Melbourne in the early 80s. The five years began with a wooden spoon and finished with Melbourne second last, never having threatened to play finals in an era of unrestricted player recruiting/trading. Frawley had five years at the helm, at the end of which many would argue we were actually worse off.

Changes are afoot, for better or worse we shall see. But they are happening.

going back to Frawleys era, and beyiod, I cant remember a time when Richmond recruited and blooded so many youngsters. You can see the plan, try and obtain one good experienced player a year (Brown, Simmonds, P Bowden) and fill the rest of the spots with youngsters. In the past its always seemed to be about swapping high draft picks for mediocre experienced players. If JON and Casserley can come on, and we draft well again this year, then in a couple of years time, I can see Richmond being a true force. At least there is hope anyway, something I've never felt with the likes of Frawley, Geischen and Bartlett at the helm.

its sad that u guys r putting your hopes in second year players... we cant seriously expect players such as casserly, jon and hughes to be any more than fringe players next year. we need to be looking @ improvement in the players with 3 yrs experience and beyond

Of course not, maybe you are misinterpreting

Yep looking for Deledio, Raines and Polo to continue on their merry way!......for me Tambling and Danny Meyer must take a big step next yr....both high draft picks.....both have time on their side...both should get a good crack next yr...both need to start delivering.

pattison, schulz, tuck, hall, hartigan, knobel, meyer, limbach, KRAKOUER, polo, deledio, tambling, TIVENDALE, hyde, ROACH all have 2 improve esp those in caps
