The players response is everything that is wrong with the club and nothing to do with the coaching staff.
Nothing to do with the coaching staff!!! :o Oh i get it, the players are responsible for recruiting recycled hacks, the poor development of our kids, the poor game plan etc etc.

stuff the press conference.

the words "bye bye terry " sound a lot better.

bring on Friday.

and just to show I don't hate or wish bad for Terry - All the best for the future to him I say.

There is so much that still pains me with the press conference still.

Believe me its no because i "hate" Wallace or wanted him to fail because of his continual spin on things. NO

sounds like there is a little hate in there.

as an aside, in the 5 drafts since tw took over, the tigers have recruited 3kpfs, 1 fwd/ruck, 1ruck/fwd and 1 kpd with 1st or 2nd rd picks. thats 6 in 5 drafts. with at least 1 every year.

I'd prefer an apology from the players.......
Me too.

How pathetic are the people sooking about his salary and demanding an apology for past deeds. He's been iced, get over it.

This whole scenario is quite bizarre..

Anyone would think Terry was leaving the Bulldogs this week the way many in the press are reporting it.

It's like his past 5 year failure at Richmond never happened.

It's totally out of whack.

Thanks Tigers of Old. Thats what has got me worked up and last nights Footy Show confirmed that :

1- His newspaper buddies havent taken him to task over his 5 years of failure at the Tigers.

2- His reference to the Dogs and everything about them.

3- That he used his last press conference when he was informed "coaching his last game" to apologise to the Bulldogs.

4- Not accepting that he failed dismally not only his 5 years with us , but his last 2 years with the Dogs. No apology to the fans for NOT DELIVERING ON HIS PROMISE TO US 5 YEARS AGO.

5- The fact that he changed the game plan numerous times in his 5 years with the club.

6- That he cant be honest to everyone all the events that occured at the Dogs, Swans position and what transpired with Newman.

7- And what the hell does KB have to do with his failure at the Tigers. What he is comparing what happened with KB and what happened with him. ? Both had 5 years and both got sacked is that what he is implying? KB didnt have the resources that you had Terry. We almost folded Terry. KB had a bunch of mainly kids. What reference were you making with him?

8- You keep deflecting from your record as a coach with the Tigers and you may have fooled most of your buddies in the press but not us supporters of your spin, spin , spin.

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND , RIGHT ROUND LIKE A RECORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M DIZZY............

I would love the players to wake up today , all of them go to the club president and do what the Dog players did(one of them was Browny) , Terry we dont want you to coach us today. *smile* OFF.

Now wouldnt i like that ! Kidding i know it wouldnt happen.

See'ya

You know there is some interesting discussion about this on the Whitten Oval Online Forum (just go to links if anyone is interested) about Wallets apology and why he has made it now after all these years. One of the theories about it is that he is looking for a grand send-off from both sets of supporters. Either because he is fearful how the bullies crowd are going to react to him, or simply because his massive ego demands after such a legendary playing and coaching career no less than a standing ovation. Hopefully he will profoundly disappointed on that count. That said no doubt though he'll eventually petition the AFL that future matches between Richmond and Footscray should be for the Terry Wallace Cup. Whatever... as usual it's all about what's best for Wallet.

I can actually see this happening in a few years (not TW lobbying for it though)

Speaking to B1, l think he will apology tonight at his final press conference
We will get belted tonight and that will be a fitting send off for him..
He will make excuses for tonight's effort, injuries, underdone, Perth Trip, etc etc..

l cannot wait to wake up Saturday morning and see him no more in Richmond colors..
l wonder if he will buy a Richmond membership next year ::)

All this angst about Wallace. It feels a little pointless. The guy's been sacked we move on. Wallace was better than Spud, lets hope that the next guy is better than Wallace.

I suppose what I'm concerned about is that in three or four years time we will be all barking at some poor bloke who thought he could coach but found the RFC iceberg just a little too tough. We'll pick on his shortcomings but with the two new teams coming through we have some mighty obstacles in our way to rebuild and that's even if we get to keep Chimp and Lids from raiders.

I doubt the next permanent coaching gig will be five years simply because off the field we are not such a basket case as we were. Given how bad it was in terms of footy department spend we could be said to have been lucky to get Wallace and if he had been a touch less conservative than he proved to be I would have been happy.

I just think this is a childish attitude. He is a professional coach and is thus in it for the money, but to somehow extrapolate that anyone who is working for money doesn't have a passion for their employer is just bollocks. Of course he cared, he did his best and put more hours in a week than most of us ever will. It didn't work out and he made mistakes. Thanks for the effort Terry, best of luck.
Is he a Tiger until he dies? No. Most aren't. Sheedy Wasn't a bomber and neither is Knights. Does it make them bad people? No.
It make them professionals.

childish attitude pffffft whatever , THAT YOU AGAIN TERRY IS IT?

Yes.

The players non-performance that night is a sickness that has engulfed this club for many years pre-TW and will exist post-TW unless the new coach has the personal strength and support from the board to take this issue on.

Terry failed in this regard, no question about it, getting rid of him doesn't instantly wipe this issue from the club though.
