1 Change the culture of this club?
2 Develop our own players?
3 Develop a winning culture?
Well what has he done?
Looking at point no 2. He has only slightly improved this area. He was too slow to look at our list critically and weed out any guys who can't help us going forward. Also there are some guys we SHOULD be playing to see what they offer? We can't develop our young players who never play a game, or hardly a game.
Looking at point 3. This is my BIG WORRY with our club. We need a good showing and effort when we play, our style and brand is ugly, crap, and most of all IT IS NOT WORKING, as we lose on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, I can handle losing, but I can't handle playing the same type of stuff for the same results. What is Wallet thinking, his systems are NOT working, so why not change them?
Finally, Hawthorn were at the draft table with us, and look at them now, clarkson had more BALLS to make the right changes quickly and good luck to him. As far as we are concerned, I hope it turns around, I don't believe in sacking more coaches, and think that a 5 year contract for a coach or player is just CRAZY.
