Had a chat with a devoted Richmond mate recently who has a theory along the lines of the amazing tiger skin debate as to where our demise over recent years ... and years ...and years came from.
His belief is that Mr. Matthew Knights is entirely responsible as the person who began an unauthorised tampering with our team song. ie, the adding of the "boom boom boom boom" after the words"Oh, we're from Tigerland". The timing of this tampering early in his career has coincided with a very lean patch in our history.
I say it's time we reverted to the old song, without hesitation and with the strictest discipline. Check the 11 renditions from this season TW, and boot out the serial "boom boomers" before the cancer becomes terminal!
