Where to for Campbell now ?

the fact that he was overlooked for the caretaker and coburg roles doesn't mean he'll be overlooked for the senior role. If anything I reckon it has enhanced his chances as the club want to put him through a thorough process like everyone else and he won't have the caretaker role to compromise his chances.

Would Campbell be in the running of any other senior coach job in the AFL? No. So he shouldn't be in the running at Richmond. Happy for him to be an assistant again.

agree again ..........

If Campbell is appointed Coach in 2010 the only thing he will clean out is the supporters - including me!! :help

Isn't Knights out of contract this year? Maybe he can go sooking to Essendon and get Knights shafted for the 2nd time...

Ah, Campbell, the captain we had to have 8)

campell should pack his bags and leave, he has nothing to offer and the players wont play for him. so the only answer is the front door and get out before its too late.

Not sure I agree with this Toto. Entirely depends on who the new coach is.
Not unusual to see them clean the place out and bring in their own people.
Very unlikely both will be there next season.

Agree totally oldie. Happens every time their is a change of coach. I see King has already said he won't be applying for the head coaching job next year so wonder what his plans are.

I also agree. Senior coaches bring in who they want to be their assistants. Could you imagine RFC interviewing prospective senior coaches, with the clause that Campbell stays on. Guys like Hardwick, Buckley etc would tell them to get stuffed, and rightly so.

Regardless, it would be the worst move of all time if Campbell gets the senior gig next year. Not nearly enough experience yet.
