Oh.just give the time before the draft was introduced,and teams were built and bred for the jumper. :(

Maybe I came across as too strong with pulling the hair out.

It's been great to see us putting in competitive efforts (keep in mind that in 02 and 03 St Kilda had plenty of honourable losses before it suddenly clicked and they came good in 04). The concern is, though, that we can't risk getting complacent and thinking that it's just a matter of time before we win these sorts of games. We have to be honest and look at all the reasons why we're finishing just short of a win.

IMO while maturity is a big factor, I can just see that an absence of dominant key forwards and a good ruckman are the areas we need to work on now so we don't waste the opportunity we'll have in a couple of years time when the kids reach their prime.
