With six hours to go before the big decision, I have decided that I will either win largest or smallest PRE thread of the year, by discussing where to play Run Benny Run.

My comments are as follows

Why does he have to be a gut busting midfielder ?

Can he do a Bartlett and kick a lazy 60 goals a year from the half forward flank ?
Can he play on the opposite wing to Richo to give either option to the Backs ?
Can he play on the opposing small forward that always seems to kill us ? ( Milne and Co)

With his history on park benches in Melbourne, I would much rather he played in a less stressful position rather than coming on and off the bench.

Good luck Ben.

Yes and Yes

The guys is over 30 and hasn't played for a full season +. Most likely play him off the bench.

Firstly play him as a rotating midfielder with stints on the bench and up forward.

Do people remember Paul Broderick towards the end of his career, a role similar would suffice.

Give him number 1.......

Run Benny Run! ;D

Lets see if he gets picked up by the Tigers first before we get all excited about what position he is going to play. This is the RFC we are talking about. They could turn around and re-draft Tivendale for all we know.

geez smoking barrels you sure now how to kill a conversation

Cuz would be allowed to wear number 1 considering Peterson wore 28 when Johnno was skipper.

I think we'll find that the knock-on effect of Cousins will be remarkable. He's going to be great for the development of the young blokes. Just a few of the tings that I can see happening now are:

  • Cousins to stay behind after training and work on McMahon's kicking, accountability, and hardness at the ball. Jordan will improve out of site.

  • JON to really grow as a player and finally hold down that spot off the half back flank.

  • With Cousins rotating through the middle, the pressure will be off Tambling and he'll finally make it as a midfielder in the middle.

  • Schulz to be inspired by the arrival of the CUZ and finally cement his place as a key utility player, bagging 55 goals for the season and becoming a rock at CHB.

  • Cleve Hughes
  • to acknowledge that he is no longer the clean-knees pretty boy at the club, and pursue an AFL career instead.

Gotta be.......... centrefield
