Where would we be if....

Read the post again and hopefully you will see that I was saying that only rarely have we managed to trade a fair value and not waste picks.

At the time Ben might have been available to us the cost to us in trade picks etc would have been zip.

I read it and nowhere did it mention 'picks' only cost. How many of those thirty were for costly draft picks?
The reason I highlighted it is you were teeing off on Miller and Wallace because 'Clubs know more about their own players than do we', which is true but this is why I found the post interesting because you knew Cousins came with a heap of baggage after being sacked by his former club yet fiercely advocated getting him anyway despite his considerable problems. Nothing is for free mommy and a drugged up Cousins at Richmond would have carried it's own price.

BTW I'd also like to know where Ben is at with his rehab away from football? I'm surprised he hasn't had a kick for a club yet.
Surely can't be too far away if he's to make it back into AFL circles.
I know he's busy making this anti-drug documentary but I'd imagine he'd want to be getting back into training with a club soon..

Did a job: Mark Graham - can't remember what we got him for, but not sure it was worth it really...still liked him though...a good professional
Terry used a late draft pick (I think it was in the 70's) on Graham. That was after Hawthorn tried to tell everyone that he had retired when the reality was that he wanted to play on, so he put himself in the draft.

Not any more lol. Can anyone update me on the whole Ben vs Casey thing? I only just heard about it when I looked him up today on the net. Startling stuff.

The Soccer Mom went on rercord at the time of that dodgy deal as saying that it was all above board.

Once Andrew Macchiavelli is involved in a stink stuff has a funny habit of disappearing. And then he's like "Wha'?"

And funnily enough this one has kinda evaporated. Andy knows how to make stuff go away.

If this matter doesn't reemerge, and I reckon it's gone, you know that The Soccer Mom has approved some kind of behind the scenes deal.

I'd approve of that deal then, cheers for the info Dyer'ere. Yeah I liked Graham for a season.

And good to hear it all seems to have disappeared. What a strange time to bring it up all these years later, and what an idiot for not taking the 1.3 mill...and what a bigger idiot for trusting Casey. Lol he certainly didn't have any smarts about him then. Fool.
