PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just wondering what folks thought about how NG Brown's traveling now some 5 weeks or so into his comeback.

Started like a bull out of a gate in his comeback against Melbourne but has been patchy since, showing some inconsistent form.
That's obviously to be expected after such a long layoff but do you think he can get back to his best?

I think he'll still be a very good contributor but I'm sadly having some doubts we'll see the 2005 model again.
He seems half a yard slower than he was at his absolute best and it is having an impact on his game no doubt.
Still getting back to the Brown of old wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility if he has a uninterrupted preseason and his leg causes no further issues.

I am a huge fan of Browny, he's a champ but IMO he's not untouchable at this point of his career, although given the Wallace connection he's probably seen as off limits.
Unless a first round pick was offered(unlikely) he will be obviously be retained.

In saying that I would highly doubt that the next contract that he signs would be comparable with his last. Browny would know that.
