Where's Danny Meyer

any word on how some of the kids played for coburg today how did tambling and pato go?

Refer to the Coburg board.

I don't think there will be a reservation made for Tambo to cross the Nullabor.

Tigerforce, I agree with Meyer not been played in the correct position, but the only reason why I think he's being played there is because that's where Terry bloods players of that calibre, to get the ball, to learn the game, and when they've finished taking 2 truck loads of that protein powder, he'll blood them as a mid-fielder.

Meyer really hasn't shown much to write home about. He looks good on the training track and that is pretty much the sum of it so far.
However as everyone knows some blokes take longer than others.
I was saying today how the Bulldogs supporters hated and bagged Lindsay Gilbee in his third year at the club. In his 4th year he clicked and became lauded as one of the most skilful small backman in the game and having a great year.
Now they all love him, as does the media.

It is hard at times, but we have to have patience with some of these guys.

Another thing we discussed today is that none of our young players (besides Cleaver) excel themselves in a game and really look a class above, or even polished and consistent over 4 quarters.

Also if they didn't do it, Coburg should have tried harder to get some more experienced players into the line up to help out the slimmer inexperienced kids.

Too true TD. Not every one has the same mentality and physicality as the other. It takes time and we have to cope with it.

I saw him in that praccy match against bendigo and looked a class above.

Cant wait to see him when he is ready for senior footy, imho I can see him being named best tiger player along with Lids in the future.

This kid is the most simple on the list of the untieds to work out.He has been played in a number of positions,he has brilliant skills, ticker, has everthing you need to be an AFL footballer just simply needs to pull the finger out and work his butt off and live up to his potential before its too late.If he pulls it out he WILL be avery very good player

Perhaps he,s one of those kids that thrive amongst the elite level but at a lower level he struggles.

another one of these "this teenager isnt playing like an established senior so he's crap" threads ::)

Dont fret over Meyer my fellow tigers, Danny is a very very skillfull and smart unit, and will be a wonderful player for the RFC, give a week or two and he will be in the ones especially if we are 0-4.

I look at Meyer and compare him with recent draftees that didnt fire a shot or not good enough ie Gilmore, and Danny has it all over them, the boy will be a gun and he along with Thursty, Cleaver, Bling and Lids are the kids, that i dont worry about as they will all be wonderful tiger players for the future and core members of the side.
