Wheres Mitch Morton ??

Then why is Tambling being picked?

Sticks to gameplan and building fitness.

Mitch is still working on the gameplan.

It's about having widespread philosophies with no exceptions, isn't that what we all disliked about Wallace not doing?

Not quite sure you know what you're talking about. You appear to be taking a few isolated events and applying them to his total performance. Tambling is working on his defensive game, yes his numbers are down on last year, but his endevour is certainly there. It's also well documented that he's had injury problems throughout the year. Your assessment on him is unfair and unknowledgable.

Lets see what Tamblings averages are so far for 8 games played.
Average 5 kicks, 5 handballs, 3 marks, 4 tackles (thats because hes 2nd to the ball) , 1 clearance, 1 inside 50 (per game) and hes kicked a total of 2 goals in those 8 games played.
If youre picked to play you are good to go no more excuses. Players have to earn their spot after all isnt this why Morton is out?

Do you use Fox news for your stats BTOZ? Richie going at over 12 possessions (not 10) a game and around 4.5 tackles a game. He is clearly below his form of last year but working into it and still in the best 22.

I got my stats from the RFC site and I rounded off to the nearest number, hes actually going at 10.6 possessions per game if you want the exact number and hes had many .5 tackles (theyre the ones that dont stick).
Any way you choose to look at it hes had a crap year so far.

Try again. Your tackle theory is bogus. Wish Deledio could tackle like Tambling.

Wallace regularly deviated from his plans, Hardwick doesn't. The decision to play an out of form Tambling ahead of Morton is an example of DH's philosophiy of not having exceptions for talented players.

It would be easy to play Mitch and try and get his first win as coach this week. He could justify it quite easily. It's been about 5 weeks.

But he's going to lengths to ensure that Mitch learns everything he needs to learn, and keeping him at Coburg. Meanwhile, Richie is getting a game and a poster asked why - so I said it's probably because he's following the gameplan, it's clearly not a decision based only on form.

DH has said a few times that he has noticed several Richmond players improving in their application of the gameplan, even though the outside world wouldn't notice.

Perhaps Richie is one of these players he's talking about?

Why else would he be getting a game if this wasn't the case? Just my opinion.

One more stat Tambo has only had 4 free kicks paid to him in the 8 games. If hes such a good tackler why is he averaging half a free kick for per game??
If its bogus lets see your figures.....Whats Lids got to do with why Tambos in the side????

Tambling's tackling has been average this year, many have slipped through. But far from being on his lonesome in this regard. Deledio is an interesting one. Had just 3 tackles in 5 games and then last week came out and had something like 8 tackles. Someone obviously hard a word in his ear.

Brett doesn't really huirt you with his tackling. Most of our list tackles worse than Richie so I dont understand this anal fixation with bagging Richie for the sake of it.

Foley and Jacko probably better tacklers, Nahas on his day is good, Jack doing very well for a key forward. Nason promising. that's about it. Tambling is one of our better tacklers. Why he gets bagged for his tackling is a bit of a mystery to me.

Also one of our better ball users but he gets targetted for that too. Ya cant learn' some folk!

Hey I agree, he is one of the better tacklers generally and I also agree when in space he is one of our better ball users. Problem is he hasn't been getting enough of it to be damaging. Other aspect I think that has been drawing tremendous attention to Tambling is his lack of application at times. It frustrates the hell out of me. As far as I am concerned, once you are out on the ground you put 100% into it at all times. But again he's not on his lonesome, it just that after 6 years in the system, some are expecting better in this regard.

Unfortunately PRE has one become big apologist website for Beavis.

This thread needs the bin man!

Cotchin said a similar thing to me on tuesday night, things they'd been practicing at training would fall into place on game day but unless you were involved with the playing group you wouldn't notice it.
