Newman has done his time in the BP.Time to move into the Midfeild now that his body can cope the rigors of playing the middle.Expect the same path for White. He has the Wallace BP written all over him.If i was Hartigan id be getting a bit worried.

Conversely could be the spur to take Harts up a gear or two.
Aaaah competition...ain't it refreshing.
So true TOO although at the end of the day White,s disposal[from what i have read thus far] will win out.Cant question Hart,s endevour etc but you can his disposal

are we talking impact at coburg here because i doubt any of them will have much impact at senior level this yr, and i think its wrong to expect any more than the odd game at most.graham and howat are miles away. humm may get promoted if we get a long term injury but finances may dictate otherwise.jon hughes and casserly are physically miles away and that leaves white who it seems still has a bit learn.

So, the answer is...?
Getting a few games at the end of the season and showing some promise (enough to keep us keen in 2007) might be the interpretation here.
I'll go...Casserly

let's not worry about the 2005 crop.  The hawks have 3 kids who won't play any games due to injury and school commitments.  We should have similar expectations of all our kids ie no senior games.  Let's hope they find their feet at Coburg.

A bigger question is who will make an impact from the 2003, 2002, 2001 crops and recently promoted rookies ie - Roach, Jackson, Hartigan, Roach, Shulz, Rodan, Moore and Foley.  These 8 players is where our core improvement needs to come from.

I agree H...Jackson, Hartigan, Shultz & Rodan should all get early gigs. Roach, Moore, Raines & Foley will get a taste as the year progresses.

Wise words Harrison Ford.

Yes, obviously true, but what prompted the thread was wondering at the differnece we will have this year from last, with regards to first year players. Last year I think we were weaker so it was easier for 1st years to get a game. Looking at this year, I couldn't see clearly who of our 2005 draftees would get a guernsey.

Matthew White outlasted the entire Richmond squad in the endurance test and matches Brett Deledio for pace!
