i'd rather that than tamper with our traditional jumper... and it would most certainly resolve any issues with a team we supposedly clash with (according to the afl, we only clash with essendon.. issue resolved!!!)
 
FWIW, I voted for design 2.

This was my preferred option all along. Keeps the colours, keeps the sash and wont clash with any other clubs home guernsey. I've also got ties to North Gambier, so I grew up supporting that jumper anyway.

Design 1 defeats the purpose of a clash jumper, and is not far enough removed from the original design. I agree that tradition is important, so lets not make our traditional guernsey look half as good with yellow panels down the side.

I would imagine the AFL approved both designs before they were put to the vote, but can't really believe they approved the one similar to our current jumper, given the criteria they allegedly sent to clubs. Maybe Eddie really does run the AFL as well.
