Now for something completely different. :spin

We all know who the usually suspects are of those who cop criticism week in and week out on this forum but I thought for the hell of it, I'd start a poll on which player is considered to be the the golden child by the members of PRE?

There are a select few who still criticise the decision to trade an early pick for Brown.

The story of Shane Tuck rising from reject to Tigers hard man and tough midfeilder surely has him at the top of the list........even when he plays badly, he seems to be forgiven very quickly!

Overall I think Newmo cops the least flak on PRE.  Can't recall too much criticism or trade Chris threads.
The others cop more than they deserve but thankfully only from an ignorant minority. ;D

No way in a million years would Wallace consider trading Browny..........Plough loves him.

Who has suggested he would??

If your referring to my post, then I suggest you read it again.

It states.....There are people who post here who criticised the decision by RFC to trade for him a low pick to the Bulldags.
Both at the time and afterwards.
Claw and Harry were 2 who spring to mind.

Agree.

This bloke gets annihilated by the competition's premier inside midfielders and because he still comes out with 20+ disposals his poor performances are regularly ignored.

Maybe 2nd year blues?

Newman is a favourite of mine and always has been, I think part of the reason he escapes criticism is because like the player he reminds me of; Merv Keane, he just goes about his business quietly and efficiently.

Tuck.....and to a lesser extent, Lids.

I haven't checked the stats, but I think field-kicking and goal-kicking....both were poor by Lids this season......just an observation and remembering saying it a couple of times during games.
Maybe I expected too much after the first season...

I think the loss of Cogs hurt both Tuck and Lids, and also, with both of them having had such good 1st seasons, then the opposition taggers were up to what Tuck/Lids were capable of.

They'll be better for it though....and with Cogs coming back, looking forwaqrd to a better 3rd season from Tuck and Lids.

I say Tucky. Had a very disappointing year. And was no better or worse before Cogs went down imo. Needs to add some polish to his game for 2007.

If stat are anything to go by then this is not true. Lids error count over the year was just over 10% of possessions, only J Bowden bettered it with smack on 10%. Agree totally that his kicking for goal could have been much much better. I have too at times thought, gee, few skill errors, but I think we tend to highlight those, and maybe they even came in blocks. I have also seen some very good kicking to position by Lids this year. Overall very excited by his 2nd year efforts. Wouldnt be too many in history outdoing Lids in their 2nd year.
