Surely must be Silvester with McGuame & Thursfield doubtful

That'll be my decision as well. Adding Silvester will allow Polak or even Thursfield to play up the ground. Silvester is a solid unit, plays with heart, has the guts and can put fear into defenders.

No need to upgrade anyone until a few days before round 1. Lets see how they play in the NAB cup first.

Yeah good move Checkers. No need to rush it, give 'em all a go and see who's up to it.

If Tristan Cartledge goes OK in the NAB he is a monty.

We still don't have a back up ruckman. If Simmonds or Pattison goes down we are battling.

Tristan Cartledge was a good rookie choice and if his body gives him half a chance he may be a tidy backup.

Agree

Re: Which Rookie will replace Cotchin?

Not sure what the rule is but if they promote later does the 8 weeks commence from then, or now. ie, can a rookie be elevated for only 1 or 2 weeks prior to Cotchin being re-instated on the main list?

Who gets elevated now??

Sylvester and Cartledge were shocking last night. Most likely no one will.

Re: Who gets elevated now??

I reckon little Collard could get a call up early on, just to add a bit of zip & bite around the forward line & across the middle. He can't be any worse.

Quite honestly I reckon Cam The modern day Tivendale should be given the nod.
:hihi

but seriously, doesn't it HAVE to be collard??? I mean, by process of elimination, Sylvester and Carteledge were hopeless last night and certainly don't deserve it on that performance, we know what Cam Howat's capable of, and one tiva per side is enough. We shouldn't be greedy

fair point. can we DEmote some?

;D

Nice thought. Could you just imagine the threads on PRE if we actually could demote players to the rookie list based on poor performance or commitment. To be honest the conditions could be as endless as the threads.

It would sacrifice some originality though. Instead of threads like "Krack Fire Up!" It would always be Demote [Insert preferred player name here] or [insert 50% of list here] if you are Santa or Craigy. Not that I necessarily disagree after last night.
