Pretty sure Richo will get a game with the all stars but how about anyone else?
Will Foley, Johnson or Simmonds get a game for the big V?

There has been massive talks regarding injuries.

I know for a fact Ablett is not playing. He has been the main marketing tool for the Big V along with Brown who is also under an injury cloud.

Simmonds wasnt in the initial squad.
Foley may, don't think Johno will.

I'd rather no-one played due to possible injuries.

These games are meaningless.

The true state of origin was before AFL started.

Agree, I hope no one plays, I don't give a stuff about these games, injuries can occur anywhere and in club games, but if a club lost a player in these type of games you would spew.

Simmonds and Foley are in the final squad of 30 players for the Big V

The full squad is:

Jonathan Brown (captain) Brisbane Lions
Gary Ablett Geelong
Jimmy Bartel Geelong
Daniel Bradshaw Brisbane Lions
Campbell Brown Hawthorn
Paul Chapman Geelong
Trent Croad Hawthorn
Nick Dal Santo St Kilda
Brendan Fevola Carlton
Nathan Foley Richmond
Josh Fraser Collingwood
Adam Goodes Sydney Swans
Brent Harvey North Melbourne
Brad Johnson Western Bulldogs
Steve Johnson Geelong
Chris Judd Carlton
James Kelly Geelong
Darren Milburn Geelong
Sam Mitchell Hawthorn
Robert Murphy Western Bulldogs
Ryan O'Keefe Sydney Swans
Scott Pendlebury Collingwood
Luke Power Brisbane Lions
Jarryd Roughead Hawthorn
Matthew Scarlett Geelong
Joel Selwood Geelong
Brad Sewell Hawthorn
Heath Shaw Collingwood
Troy Simmonds Richmond
Jarrad Waite Carlton

From looking at that Simmonds and Fraser for the ruck.

Brown is doubtful
Ablett I know isnt playing

Simmonds is a monty to play based on that list. Fraser and Goodes couldn't compete against anyone the Allstars could put in to the ruck. I haven't seen their squad, but they could have Sandilands, Cox (if fit), Lade or Brogan for starters. Only Simmo would have any chance against any of that lot.

Fraser & Simmonds look like the only 2 ruckman in the squad not counting Goodes who doesn't ruck anymore!!
Foley might find it tough even if Ablett doesn't play with Harvey Power Bartel Del Santo Judd Mitchell Selwood etc but would love to see if in there think Foley's clearance work is as good as any of them especially if Simmonds is in the ruck think Foley would read him the best of the group.

Probably agree with you Selwood doesn't get the hard tags like Foley the taggers go to Ablett Bartel Corey etc but I think Selwood has kept them in a few games lately V Freo & the Lions doesn't have Foley's acceleration out of congested situations.

Well done to big Troy Simmonds. Massive effort. Will just about be in at the first bounce vs Big Cox.

Think Foley will sneak in as well.

How does Jarrod Waite get a gig?

I sure hope Richo just camps himself in a forward pocket and dosen't do squat! Not 'cos i am worried about who wins but just so he will be injury free and fresh (er) for the next (proper) round.

It's quite hard to determine the real level of interest from the players and clubs. I would not be surprised to see the injury reports start coming through and players being withdrawn.
