PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Earlier this week, Anduril, who has lovely eyes by the way....suggested I might like to give a summary of the Wednesday night WLF show for those without Foxtel. For those unaware, TW and Caro are the guests on these nights.

Last night opened with Clinton referring to some guy who always is the first to email, who said he was missing dinner so he could watch Caro. Must admit she did look OK to me as well.
First up, they touched on the Mal Michael saga...will he or won't he go on. No firm conclusions.

Apparently Ackers is in deep diddly doo again, but it was not spelled out why.

Quite a long discussion on Michael Gardiner, eg will a Vic Club pick him up. TW said not the TIgers.

Not sure what Nick Davis has been up to, and neither were TW or Caro. They did think he would probably miss three to four weeks. Hope he is out this weekend (my comment.)

Then Clinton listed current players who could be on the market. Did not list them, but nothing exciting there anyway.

Short discussion on hitting the post. The Tigers have the worst record. That would be right (me again)

Naturally, Darren Goldspink got a fair going over. TW said he had no issue with the Cats approach on the matter, and told of an umpire once saying to Richo, "you had better kick this one, you need it." he did not believe umpires should make any comments like that to players.

Then staging for frees came up for discussion. Should a free be given. TW said it was impossible to tell when a player actually staged.

TW was disappointed with Joel being rubbed out, and thought he was careless. Joel still insists he was just trying to hit the footy. Will now ignore the comment by Tony Shaw on the same show last night where he claimed Joel's hit was a "cheap shot." Thanks a lot. that sort of comment can leave a stigma for a long time. (Me again there.)

A little light relief with a camera shot of Chris Newman and Brent Hartigan pinching some bread rolls from the Tiger canteen.

Then the Blues 1.5m hand out from the AFL got a bit of a run.

Caro thought Pagan may go west before too long. TW disagreed, so he won't get a hug from her for that.

In question time on air, "Dougie" rang in and asked if Tuck could man up on Hall this weekend. TW non committal. Caro tried hard to find out who would replace Joel this week. Smiles all around. Maybe he will get a hug.

Near the end now. Terry's team of the week, but no surprises...no Tigers.

Someone emailed in and wanted to know how Chaffey and Rodan were going. TW, naturally, said not too bad, but still thought they were two or three weeks away.

Can't repeat this next week as the cocktail party is on, I'll be there, and I guess TW would not be on WLF for that reason.

Hope this is of interest to those without Fox. If so thank Andy.
