In Gray’s absence I jotted down some WLF notes for the benefit of those who don’t get WLF.
Caro got into Carlton. Said they should be ashamed of themselves. They’ve been pathetic, no leadership and a lot of tension created. Caro thinks Mitchell will be there next year too and Denis won’t have much say over his assistants. Silvagni is there as a peacekeeper but was fully expecting Mitchell to be coaching next year. Caro thinks Denis doesn’t deserve the treatment he’s copped the team is coming on and no other coach would have done better. Terry said he learned coaching from Denis and they are going ok. Have to go back a bit to go forwards and good kids coming on.
Caro thinks Denis was retained party because of membership and sponsor backlash and they can decide coaches (Terry said and don’t we know it)
Terry questioned Rising Star the way there are 18yo’s against 21yo’s etc. Raines family very happy with second placing.
Marcia rang in and asked about the pack of clowns who signed Gas and let Kella, who plays his guts out go. Terry replied that Gas was injured most of last year but is needed against KPP. We have plenty like AK who are flankers/3rd man in players.
Caro commented the decision hasn’t gone down well with Kella and hasn’t gone down well with the fans. Terry said it’s not only Kella but the Kellaway family too and all they’ve done for the club. Said Crows did similar and never suffered as a club for it. Terry said Andy believes he can go on but Terry thinks it would be a shame to see him waste away at Coburg (not exact quote.
Caro finished saying it was a very costly surfing injury. Terry did nothing to make me disbelieve the info I have that Kella has been chopped, in fact the fact he didn’t deny Caro’s comments at all made me all the more convinced it’s true. (How did others read it?)
Caro said Geelong not happy with Thompson, and Cook doesn’t like what he’s learnt from the 40+ interviews. Doesn’t think Cresswell, who was shown the door at Brissie, would be replacement coach. She favours Longmire will.
No clubs will be giving up 1st rd pick for Acker. (Caro)
Our ruck stocks are ok so don’t need Spider or Gardiner (Terry)

Judd was #1 from 15 last year. Joel was #2 from 22 last year.
