Just wondering if the new coach chooses the assistant coaches or does someone the club do it, and if so who is responsible? I hope we have a complete clean out of coaching staff, get rid of anyone involved in our past failures, and start afresh.

Wayne wont be going anywhere... He's on a three year deal - two years to go (2010 & 2011).

Rawlings is keen to stay...

Royal and King gone... So thats a new head coach (Terry), Backline (King), Forward (Royal - also Director of Coaching)...

All in all a pretty exciting prospect... Thats a minimum of three new faces... potentially 1- 2 more listening to March a couple of weeks ago in terms of increasing head count in footy dept from 23-26 by the end of the year... However this could be in strength, conditioning, rehab, etc...

Are there any get out clauses in Campbo's 3 year contract?  It gets back to my question about who chooses the support coaches.  If the senior coach does are they linked to his tenure somehow.

I wonder if Jade would go back to Coburg and if so what will happen with McCrae.

Just a couple of things that I was wondering.  I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Bit of both I would think, the game is too professional to hang everything on the head coach but you would like the coach to have some choice.

I think the football department calls the shots on assistant coaches.

CC would have a major say I would think.

Next years assistant coach lineup will be interesting. Lots of changes in the wind....a new era commencing?

Yep and what the wind doesn't blow away can be swept with a big broom. I'm looking forward to a new era and the less baggage carried through the better.
