I relise that we have gone through this sort of thread before but the realization has to be where does the blame really lie , I for one do not blame TW and his merry men , I lay the blame soley on previous decisons -
Lets look at some facts , now using a system whereas players drafted at 17-18 , then some if not most should form the nuecleus of your team 4-5 years down the trak
2000 draft
9- petrified
25-cogs
40-hyde
41-kraks
55-newman
57- sziller
Out of this lot 6 out of the 7 still play today , nothing super special but still at the club today
2001 draft
33-rodan
63-houlihan
68- hyde (re drafted)
77-mcgrath
traded for Hudson and Stafford
what a waste of a recruiting year , nothing came through from this crop
2002 draft
12- sarge
41- flemming
47- nicholls
62- sipthorp
traded for jonno and blumfield
well another wasted recruiting year , not much came through from this crop either
2003 draft

64- morrison

well 1st 4 picks were a waste next 3 are ok followed by 2 more wasted picks
So who's fault is it really , we are in this position because we have had nothing coming through from previous drafts .
2001-2003 is what have made the RFC what it is today , as 85% of drafted players are no longer at the club , and they were the ones who were suppose to form the neucleus of today's team .
I know drafting is hit and miss but geee we miss with most and hit with so few , especially players drafted in the top 25 which you'd expect to nail
Out of those who are still here not many were top 30 picks so whats that tell you, and that why Terry made the 2011 comment , because it will take that long to fix previous f#$k up's enabling us to challenge for top 4 or higher postions consistantly.
So let get off Wallets and Greg's back ATM and just wait and see , sure enough if they make the same mistakes then its open season on them too , but so far Lids , Tambling , JR , Edwards , Casserly , Collins , JON, Myer and others have shown enough to suggest they will be OK ... well better than the class of 01 02 and 03 , jury still out on Prada Hughes though ...
