Re: Nafun for coach?

Nathan also said that if he were approached that it would be his business and nobody elses.

I don't know if it was just me watching the game on the TV tonight but Nathan Buckley had a lot of love for the Tigers particularly in the first half. He seemed to be talking like a possible coach.
Also tonight pre game on SEN Eddie was talking up Mick also with a great deal of love. Perhaps Nathan is not destined for the pies after all?

What I found most interesting was that after the game when they were talking about the Richmond position etc etc, Bucks was mysteriously absent from the house and they bought in the baffoon Robbo to take his spot.

Found this most interesting indeed. Am I reading too much into it.

Where to from here.....

I guess my basic question is where to from here ?
Do we look for a young coach who doesn't have the experience ?
What about an older coach with experience ?
I dont have the answers and am not sure you will have them either but please give me your thoughts.

Next?

My guess is that there is half a season to go under a caretaker coach.

Does not answer my question. A caretaker will only do as he is told by others. Not solving the problems....
Your thoughts????

Re: Where to from here.....

Tiges win 9 out the next eleven and finish ninth.

From a position of almost total ignorance, I'm a bit cool on Buckley. Unlike Voss, I think he has a lot of insecurities. Just read his book. The coach's position requires more than just knowledge, determination, game plan, etc, it also requires that incredible mixture of personal confidence and stability to weather all the pressures that come with the job. It's just a hunch.

I also want a premiership player. No Wayne Campbell.

It seems to me that there are some excellent established and experienced assistant coaches that would probably do very well.

The main thing is a good process to get a good result. This is the biggest test of March's presidency, but he seems to have done OK so far.
