Robey and Cumming for me. I like Grill also and Barker but he’s coming off an ACL which is a bit of a risk… yes so was Hotton.

I maintain it’s 2 out of Robey, Sharp, Cumming, Taylor or Gorilla.

Robey at 3 is a lock.

If we are right on Robey - there likely still be some hand wringing at PRE with the other pick - with such an evenly split preference between Sharp, Cumming and Grlj!

CDT and Grlj

Athletic big man who can play mid and a fast mover, strong tackling mid / wing .

I still reckon Patterson is a smokey if weagles bid on Uwland.

Really enjoyed watching Talor Byrnes highlights. If he's still on the board with our 38 (will come in to something like 34), he'd have to be strongly considered. His highlights to me look like a left footed Seth Campbell.

There are several that could be available at that sort of range with varying positions, Emmett, Hetherton, Dalton. LeRay, BOB, maybe even Rodriguez.

Looking at the GC talent though, we simply have to bid on Uwland and Patterson in the top 5, not just because they should be bid on there, but we need to suck up as many points as possible for GC. Jai Murray looks another good prospect that will be around at that sort of level, as is Koby Coulson. They have another great crop of kids available to them this year. Its going to be just like the 2023 draft when they got Walter, Read, Rogers and Graham.

If we took Robey at 3 and the bombers were still keen for our 4, we could swap 4 for 6 and maybe one of there later picks in the twenties.
We would still get a good player at 6 and pick up maybe a Barker or Dovaston with the later pick.

Perfect scenario in that instance would be, take Robey at 3, Essendon take X Taylor and Sharp (and I can see why they would do both), we then take Cumming with 6. Take Oskar Taylor with our pick back from Essendon (may not last to it though), Taylor Byrne with our 38 and then Kellaway late.

5 players in. 3 mids (2 that can swing to mid / fwd roles), 1 half back (reminds me of Darcy Wilmot) and 1 small forward (a bit like a left footed Seth Campbell).

Speed, power pretty much throughout.

Tick, tick, and onto Round 1 :D

That looks like a perfect Blair move.

Yep. I reckon the Eagles will bid on Uwland at #2 and we'll bid on Patterson with our second pick, and possibly with our first pick.

Of the players available and our particular needs, I'd happily see our first move of the night being a bid on Patterson.

Imagine if we got him!

I wouldn't think Labor would be in the centre, but on the left wing.
Not sure Labor plays on the left wing anymore.
Think they're more like Corey Ellis. Want to be in the middle, but spend their time chasing where they think the action is, only never quite finding it.
Luckily Tyler Sonsie plays for the other mob. Lots of fans reckon he should play in the middle, but a bunch of conservative minded coaches keep putting him on the right wing, sometimes chasing the opposition mid, and often on the interchange backbench, trying to ensure his presence on field does as little self inflicted damage as possible.

Whoever WC doesn't pick out of the big three of Duursma, CDT and Robey, and then split 4 if anyone offers overs. If not either Cumming or Sharp.
