I agree. The official line seems to be that no signings until we sign a coach but if I was one of the players out of contract at the end of the year like Lids, I'd be getting peeved. I can't imagine any new coach saying that Lids was surplus to requirements, so just sign him up already. Ditto for Cotch.

I've made the following assumptions:
- All new ND draftees were put on 2 year contracts. (ie Cotchin, Rance, Putt, Vickery, Post)
- There was an announcement last year that Newman, Moore, Shulz, Riewoldt, Graham, Edwards, White, King, Collins and Connors has signed contract extensions. The announcement stated Newman has signed for 3 years but failed to mention the others. I've assumed the others signed for 2 years but have fingers crossed that a couple may have been 1 year.
