I expect our key players to do well this season.
Gas will improve on a pretty good season as the confidence in his leg increases.
Richo's kicking seemed to me to be better last year as he was forced to go back and take his time when within 50. I still think his best is yet to come.
Cogs is a wonderful player and will continue to be so, injury permitting. Ditto Browny and Johnson.
There is no reason to think that Bowden won't continue to produce his excellent form of the past two seasons, while if you want an early roughy for the Brownlow I'd suggest Tucky.
Newman should also play with a bit more self belief than in the past, which imo will see him enter our top group of consistent contributors.
Below this group at the moment is Lids, but we can expect that he will continue to establish himself as one of the games elite.Tambling imo also did well last season and if he can get in an injury free preseason then I think we will see him kick 35+ this year.
Andy Kellaway and Chris Hyde will continue to render good service.
Players like Hall, Hartigen, Meyer, Patto, Pettifer, Polo, Rodan, Schulz, Simmo and Thursfield need to step up this year, continue to show improvement and to demonstrate that they are up to it. While that might be expecting a bit much on young bodies like Meyer, Patto and Thirsty in particular, this 'fringe group' have to contribute if they wish to be considered of AFL quality and part of our future. Mcguane and Limbach would also need to be thinking about whether they are capable of joining and surpassing this group.
Of those not so far mentioned I think that Chaffey, Foley, Knoble, Krak, Moore, Raines, Roach, Stafford and Tivendale look the most vulnerable. Unfortunately some from this group won't be there in 07.
