You hear rumours.

Problems that have been going on for years that have resulted in either coaches sacked/or not renewed.

1995 WHEN it appeared the once mighty tigers were begginning to make noise the most crucial decision ever made, similar to what happened with Hafey, we lost Northey.

Back then the players , you often heard what high regard they held him in. You saw in the style they played, the style we would love today instead of the crap we witness time and time again.

Even then though did the players feel betrayed that Northey left , or did they never get over the fact that he went to coach another side.?

Walls comes in. Promises a different , a style unprectitable, a style not relying solely on Richo, tough hard football. Pre seson is hard but he too doesnt last that long after a year and a game at Adelaide were we lost by a huge margin he gets sacked. The players , you heard rumblings didnt like the hard training they did or couldnt and wouldnt comply to his style. Rumours that the players got him sacked.

Geish came in did ok for the last 5 games or so and we just missed out on the finals. Next year we were terrible and he gets sacked.

Frawley next. I think we just made the finals or just missed out and made it the next year. The coach and the people in charged believed we were a couple players short (made the prelim) and we would be back the next year. It didint eventuate. By the end he too, rumours had it , had lost the players after the treatment of a couple favourite sons in Gale, Knights and Campbell we forced into retirement. Hence his contract wasnt renewed further, in effect he was sacked. Again the players played a part here.

Wallace comes in , had a perfrect draft to pick players we needed. He thought our list was good. He chose us remember over the Hawks. He had years in the media to know which players had and could take us places. Again we just missed out, got better the next year but fell into a heap last year, finishing stone last. Another draft. Rumours that after the treatment of Gas and Kellaway , you could tell after the way they played against the cats , another tharshing, another it seems revolt by players. Rumblings.

Again you here it and it feels its happening again.

The 2011 comment . This ruffled players you heard-senior ones.

The fact he stated that senior players are letting the club down.

The fact he has blamed other coaches on our list.

Past administrations.

The fact that he directs King to single out Bowden.

The fact he is blaming the ground for our injuries.

All defelctions form the fact that he cant coach this side.

Players, he has lost them and they rule this club.

Time he either cleans them out or again he will be a victim of this club..

I think it is sad we have become a losers club,

And proof of this is the way supporters talk about 95 as though we won the flag that year,

The reality is, we were thrashed by Geelong , in our biggest game of the year, who went on to be beaten in the GF.

Although it was an enjoyable season compared to the crap we put up with now,

We were still, along way away from the finish line.

Harsh but true.

Agree kiwitiger. Yes i didnt mention the loses we suffered both prelims.

Generally what i was trying to get across was that the coach cant always be the blame and if true the players have been involved in many things at the club then action needs to be taken.

Its about time ego's were laid to rest.

Wallace's ego OR

Player's ego's

In this case Wallace is to blame also. His heart isnt in it anymore it seems from the outside looking in nor in the players. If its just a job and they turn up and get paid, run the decisions (senior players) then time to ride them all and start fresh.

Time is running out for this club who financially has come back from the brink of disaster.

Time March showed who is running this club.

Perform or you are out . Everyone

True that. Heck we get carried away with a win like we've won the Premiership these days.. :(

Can't agree that Danny was, in effect, sacked waiting.  He was actually given a questionable contract extension and it was honoured.  We hung on to Danny, despite the club disintegrating aorund him, to prove a point that we don't sack coaches any more.  I don't think it did us any favours though.

Whilst I think Waiting makes some valid points there is one thing that, to me, it misses and that is... If you are a good coach you get the players on side!

IMO if the players are against Tezza there just may be more of a reason than Gaspargate, as if that is all there is it is VERY weak of the players but then it was handled abysmally by Tezza & Co.

As someone who has coached junior basketball for 12 years there are strategies that can be easily implemented to get the team playing as such, instead of a pack of selfish twats, which is what is being dished up by most at the moment. To me this hasn't been accomplished at all by Tezza & Co and should be a real worry to all.
