Who is the AFL's biggest receiver ?

Brett Burton gets me riled as a jump-on-the-opponent-and-knee-him-when-he's-down kinda spineless footballer.  Oh and he's a receiver - but so what..............

I'll go against the flow and honestly say that some of the best and most productive footballers are in Fudge's lists, and yes they might be classified as receivers, but chances are they had to run to position, a position no-one else has the footy vision for perhaps, nor the fitness. They may even have had to crash tackles, shepherds and taggers to get there. That's their job, there directive. What do you want them to do - go against the coach's directives and not be a good receiver and playmaker ::)  Jack said, 'no good being where the ball ain't - well in modern footy it also means 'no good being where the ball ain't gonna be either'.

Oh and one more thing, I suspect receivers usually have a good "assists" rating too. Gimmee a receiver that can deliver a goal assist anyday!

Intrestingly Red 3 of the 4 play of half back and are used as the deliverer for there team, to set up forwrd movements.
On Riccutio always been one of my favourite players but IMO was a better player 3+ years ago when he seem to win more of his own ball but has turned himself into a more outside running type and received even more accolades since (brownlow)What a player

How about some of the old timers who defined the term in the first place, mostly by being amongst the first players to play completely unaccountable football from the back pocket? Remember Brad Hardie and Chris Burton?

Robert Harvey. My son & I call him SBG (soft ball get - that doesn't go down too well at the Tiger V Saints games, let me tell you). I don't think I have ever seen this guy win his own ball. When I tell other people about him they get stuck into me, and carry on about those brownlows, but then they always come back to me and tell me they agree.....softest AFL footballer ever IMO

Think of the receivers who can't get a kick come finals time. They are the true germs of the competition... the biggest receivers.

Inspired by Tigerjoe’s thread about who’s the most intimidating player in the AFL, who is the AFL’s biggest receiver ?
