Both have a licence to roam - they cover ground, lose their opponents, are used as hit up players, and crumb as well.
They thrive on confidence, and have been given time to develop this. They are also given good ground time as forwards like this need.

Who is ours? Pettifer was hit up man for a while. Morton does it a bit. But we dont have a permanent roamer, goalsneak, 2 goal a game crumbing man.

I think this is Tambling. With time in this role, and with confidence, he will hit up (is good over head), his crumbing is ok and will improve. This will give him some direction, and time to develop his defensive side off half back.
I would back him for 50 goals a year if allowed to develop properly. At the moment he still doesnt know where he fits - and plays accordingly.

No-one....and if we did they would not succeed because they would not develop the hunger that Betts and Stokes have. These two guys work damn hard and should be used as examples for our slothlike smaller forwards. Both guys get the rewards for hard running and hard wo

I dunno. I'd like to see Nathan Brown play like Eddie Betts. I love Eddie and would love us to have an excitement machine like him. When we were watching the TAC grand final before he was drafted we all commented on how happy we'd be if we drafted him. An absolute bargain for the last pick in the draft.

god he outs on a cllinic doesnt he?
and i just cant wait until tamblig is settled into a position!

I wish we could clone Nathan Brown. So we could have him in the midfield and so we could play him in the forward 50. However we need his class and skills to hit targets the midfield (especially how depleted we are at the moment without the three C's Cotch, Cous and Cogs), but I still feel he is most dangerous for us in the forward 50. Noone else plays this role better than Brown.

Only prob with N G, Rosy that he gives a big fat 0 in defensive pressure

We did have one named David Rodan.

We traded him to Port, to retain Krakouer.

Not the best decision.

Must admit that Richmond over the last 5-10 years has had trouble understanding the place of smalls.

For years, both on PRE & at the RFC, I've had to battle with getting smalls recognised as an essential part of the squad.
Many at Tigerland had thought the days of smalls had disappeared in AFL footy.

I remember all those who posted derisive comments everytime I suggested there weren't enough smalls on the Tiger list.

Things are improving.

Hopefully Alroy Gilligan can show something early.

I still think time may have passed Nahas by.
