Who now is our most valuable player moving forward

how do you know lids head is in a different place pharace? If his skills let him down then where are some others placed?

Head in another place is a figure of speech - from what I saw down the rooms he's quite into himself and how he looks - even during preparation time - not the first nor the last mind you........

Every player has bad kicks, a missed handball, out on full etc....so does Lids - but perhaps his have come at unexpected times - that's all my rub is. It's a concentration thing. Don;t think you'll see any concerntration probs in Cotchin.

are you down in the rooms regularly? and I've already seen cotchin cough the ball up also. I rate trents skills very highly but the weight of expectation can be very heavy

A lot of posters look at the likes of Lids, Foley Cotch etc......but I am wondering if the three backs McGuane, Moore and Thursfield are among our key players. These three have done a great job and their long term development to us as a successful team is crucial. They are going to form a great bond and could become a dynamic defensive trio as their skills develop. With added confidence and skill development over the next 12 to 24 mths they are going to start a lot of attcking moves with their fearless desire and attcking skills.

We don't have to demote anyone.

There is no way in hell I would let Gourdis go.

Gourdis was a project, one we could take and mold into what we want and what he could become. Risking him going to another club would be the worst thing this club could do. He may come into senior calculation sooner than we all think.

Look David has some nice physical attributes to eventually make a player but as mentioned b4 is currently & justifiably miles off a senior afl from what leysy's seen of him. Miles.

If the club are looking to free up a an extra spot he's an ideal type to tuck away on a rookie list for a year or two while he develops. Dont forget he wasn't taken in the ND last year in a weak year. Leysy cant see all those clubs that overlooked him suddenly liking him after playing VFL two's all year.

He's contracted and hasn't done anything like Petersen did to allow us to cut him after one year

Casserly or Meyer would be much better candidates for the rookie list as both have had bad injuries and barely got on the park for the past 2-3 years.

Deledio.

Based on potentially what he could turn into.......Gourdis. Sounds funny now, but we must give him at least 3-4 years. He could be anything.

Agree on both fronts. Deledio but i like the prospect of Gourdis, even before the draft. And didn't he kick 7 goals on the weekend?
