PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

A question.

Who owns the AFL? I assume that they were a body set up to administer our game at some stage by somebody. They cannot be a private company so I assume there must be some sort of "share holding". Is it the clubs? Is it the AFL members?

What I want to know is how do we, as grass roots AFL and club members, make some sort of protest against the current administration and what they are doing to our game? If we felt that the administration was not taking good enough care of our game is there some way that we can get rid of them?

I strongly feel that the running of the AFL is a responsibility no one should take lightly. The changing of the rules should be something that is done with great care and much thought. The current climate where rules seem to be changed willy nilly is not good enough and some one should be held accountable.

Andrew Demetriou and his associates do not own the game and should take a great deal more care than they current are.
