Who will get back in the side and who will go

I doubt anyone who played today will be in the side on Friday. The only player I can really see coming in is Hughes. I definitely wouldn't put Krakouer back in just yet.

ive also said drop pettrified after another insipid spineless performance against a physical side. i suppose you could replace one of these 2 with *smile* but why would you want to give a five yr loser another chance better to give meyer a taste dont you think.

You're gonna hate this Claw, but Meyer really doesn't deserve a game at AFL level yet. He was on HFF for Coburg today and I think he was a bit of a spectator. Some of the locals mentioned that Meyer isn't really the type of guy who'll go in hard either. I thought he was just ok when the ball got up forward, but doesn't really present enough or as I said on coburg boards, work hard enough off the ball. Was disappointing to see someone with his talent level not being used more on the ball.

General, Danny Meyer isn't expected to dish out any physical stuff at this stage. He is expected to run, chase & tackle - All of which Meyer does well.
Yes, you are correct in saying Meyer was just OK today, but one noticeable feature of his game inside forward 50, was his ability to lead quickly away from his opponent.
He lacks upper body strength, so he will fall out of position in a contest with a stronger body next to him - This is also the reason why he is not used in the middle.
Played alot of footy in a back pocket last year and this was an ideal start to footy in Vic.
Will eventually be touted for a midfield role, but his apprenticeship invloves learning the game at both ends of the ground.
Will develop into a running type player, in similar style to Lindsay Gilbee.

I hope he's pumping plenty of iron down ant Punt Road and if he isn't he should be. He weight(or lack of) appears to be an ongoing concern.

another one who doesnt read posts very well.where did i say to keep pattison ive said replace him with hughes a tall for a tall. ive also said dump rodan who is struggling big time has done nothing in his time at the club and will probably be traded at yrs end.ive also said drop pettrified after another insipid spineless performance against a physical side. i suppose you could replace one of these 2 with *smile* but why would you want to give a five yr loser another chance better to give meyer a taste dont you think.

I can read just fine thanks claw. Meyer's had a 'taste', he now has a lot of learning to do at Coburg plus physical development, as does Hughes who is also being disciplined at the moment - a decision I agree with wholeheartedly.

As I said before, there's nobody left at Coburg who has earnt a game or is physically ready. Rather than acknowledge that fact, you constantly demand players who have proven themselves to some extent at senior level be dropped for players yet to prove themselves at reserves level.

You struggle to even find fanciful replacements, let alone realistic ones, but that doesn't seem to register.

Wouldn't be surprised if Simmo gets a rest. He jarred his leg/knee in the 4th Qtr and struggled for a bit, but manfully went down back and probably saved the game when the Lions got to within 7pts. If Knobel comes up he'll replace poor young Patto. Keep working at it Patto!

In: Hughes / Knobel

Out: Simmo / Pattison
