Just a little side topic

Is there any use in keeping a couple of the "maligned players" in an attempt to lure some of the draft picks that GC have been gifted ?

The Pettrfiied and JON wrapped up with a little red bow may lure late first rounder off them?!?!?!

Oh dear. Keep in mind other clubs will be trying to trad some of those first round picks off GC too. Petts might get something high as a proven goal kicker. JON has no trade value at all until he can show that he has value at AFL level.
 
It would be the only reason to keep Raines. Retain JON for 1 more year. There are enough people ahead of him on the chopping block. I've heard that West Coast or Fremantle may be interested in Pettifer. :o I'd take a 5th rounder for him.
 
I think McGuane will be on their radar as a local boy. Anyone know when his contract is up? I'd hate to get nothing for him.
