If you could pick ANY 3 players / officials from Richmond, past or present, to have a beer with / have dinner with, and

ask them one question ???

or

offer them one piece of advice ;D

, who would it be and what would you say??

For me:

1. Scott Turner. Was kicking two goals in the 95 final v essendon one of the biggest highlights of your career? (it's been a fav of mine)

2. Greg Miller. Just WHAT did you see in KK????

3. Mark Coughlan. Will you play for Richmond again?

First pick would be Jack Dyer
Then GR
Finally Richo

Two past legends of the club and one playing

My question to all would be 'Can I have your autograph?'

Neville Crowe - "talk toa bout the RFC tradition and how you feel about the club"
Jack Dyer - "explain the corner of the circle to me"
Graham Richmond - "why did the Pitura trade deal go so badly wrong"

i`m not picking players either but i`d like to sit down with any 3 of the men in charge of richmond in the early 80`s and ask why oh why did you get into that stupid war with collingwood that decimated our once great ,powerful club.

It would have to be ....Royce Hart, Jack Dyer & Jim Jess .... Oh well ive already had a beer with The Ghost ..... But i'd love to have a beer with Terry Smith. RIP. taken away from us way too early... But then some of you on here would'nt even remember him. :beer

1 to GR Question : Why didnt you give the coaching job to Sheedy in 1979?

2 to St Francis Question : Didnt you know what Malthouse meant to our backline in 1982?

3 to Dr Gillian Samuels(Pfizer) Qustion : Why wasnt viagra research tested on Richmond players in the 70's when we had dozens of giants running around and the Father/Son rule was 50games?

note: scary thought that an english woman invented viagra.

note: I myself cant afford viagra so use the cheaper generic alternative mycoxafallin.

Mate, did have a beer with him after the Legends game - was probably the most down to earth former player I ever met - genuine good bloke - as is Dale Weightman.

Easy

1) GR
2) Kevin Bartlett
3) Kevin Sheedy

Would be a red wine feast.

Terry Wallace, Brian Royal and David King
Why dont we have any defensive teamwork, have second and third players beside the mark, rucks back on the goal lines when shots for goals are taken, have the weak side wings and or centre players drop back to centre half back to fill the holes when we are defending, have a routine for the player on the mark to put off the player having a shot, push a player taking a shot hard against the boundary and have one or two players there to keep them honest, have a player lurking behind a player taking a mark or free and ready to tackle from behind when the umpire calls play on, and just do all the little things to harass, lay tackles, charge down a player with the ball rather than zone off, throw them to the ground if they are handballing it away and cop a free against you, chase and bl**dy well annoy the opposition, so they know they have played against a serious well organised unit rather than an absolute rabble. Isn't this all part of coaching, its not down hill skiing, but hard gut busting work that earns the respect from anyone that thinks about pressure and wants to give 100% effort even if they are too light, cant kick or handball to save themselves and justs wants to do something to help the team.
That was my question, and I dont think I have any advice.
