Then again that littany of posts telling us all how we were all wrong about Krakouer was pretty funny too. Heh heh heh...

But there has been a call for the delisting of almost every player on the Richmond list at some stage, the percentages are with darksiders that you have to get some right.

Spot on Colonel. All they do is shoot fish in a bucket and kid themselves how good they are when they hit one.

According to them nothing RFC has done is recent years has been any good. When the facts are undeniable they then carry on about "the method" or some other diversionary tactic............. never admitting they themselves got it wrong.

Let's see now..... Simmonds(5 yr deal was too long, yet it was a 4 year amount spread over 5 years which secured his signature). Polak(we risked getting but still got Riewoldt......... shattering darksider confidence beyond repair).

Claw, Tigerbob etc are spot on. Wallace and Gommit must go.

Mind you they're probably still blaming others and most of our supporters go along with them. Fancy targeting a couple of flankers with our trading when 4 or 5 ruckmen were on the table. If I see Polak and Tuck doing the ruck work next year I'll spew up.

Miller asked for 4 years to turn the place around. Wallace is over half way through his 5 year plan.

I'm no brightsider, just a realist. Geelong(2007) won its first flag in 44 years and Swans(2005) won its first flag in 72 years. I think it is time you got real too!

Why are we on the bottom? Because RFC finally realised it had to start again, get its basic off-field structure and systems in order, re-establish its long term goals, ignore the nervous nellies and do it right. That is why Wallace was given a 5 year deal.

I'm not too concerned about the results in 2007 or 2008. I'm concerned about 2010 and 2011. Where are our young KPP players, rucks and tough inside mids who will peak by then. We will be patching up the list until Wallace and Miller are shown the door.

Good question JB. I'd say mid-way through 2009 the acid test will be really on. We should be in contention for a final 8 berth. Wallace will be busting a gut to get a renewed contract or find another club prepared to pay more.

If we are not in contention then everyone will know about it, especially on PRE.

Actually I take that back, Lids has copped some severe baggings after the early Geelong game , so we are basically left with possibly Connors, Edwards and JR as the only universally darksider approved players on our list.

I must admit though my meagre brightsider credibility on PRE is based on my irrational love and support of Bling as a football (not that there is anything wrong with loving him in other way), if he flops next year it’s going to be very disappointing.

At least you are giving him a chance. We owe the same to all our young players.

i was sitting back having a chuckle at this when i came across this. when have i or for that matter most darksiders not given our young players time and opportunity to prove themselves. and as for your assertion that we shoot at our kids like fish in a barrell well nothing is further from the truth. i also make no apology for making assesments on what i percieve to be our players strenghts and weaknesses.

if you had said we target our older players at times maybe a tad unfairly i would have agreed with you and you might have some credibility.

the simple fact of the matter is its the overly optimistic ones brightsiders who put the boots into our kids when they dont live up to expectations in their early yrs or dont develop quick enough for them. most ferals dont bother to asses player strengths and weaknesses which is something darksiders cant be accused of. we dont bag for the sake of bagging there is usually damn good reasons for it.

as for your little pat on the back over polak. down trading top 10 picks is not the way to grow your list when the club and the supporters grasp this we may well go forward.as for polak being a good player well we will see.

finally without wanting to ring my own bell i have to say most of the players i have criticised and said thay wont make the grade i have been proven right.

i have made tough calls early on just 3 players on the list that is they arent good enough those 3 are schulz krakouer and pattison. pattison i have treated with kid gloves so far and will hold of on him as he may make a decent foot soldier. every other player has had at least 3 yrs some longer.

as for types like tuck raines polo mcguane i have stated they are needed in the short term but i have seen enough to say they should be replaced with simimilar types but with better skills in the future.

the trouble with you sneezer is anyone who is honest about our players is percieved to be having a go all players.
