The short answer? I know you prefer it that way..

Me personally no- never live. May have to watch it over the net...
Short answers are good answers.Do you get a replay or highlights?

Now that requires alonger answer... Are you up for it?
Yep

Well , MB , I've just got back here and seen NYT had replied to an earlier Post of mine , so I'll go ahead and try to answer your question as I think it's a pretty safe bet that NY is sound asleep right now , seeing as it's 2.26 am on Fri Morning here.

There's only acouple of way's to see the Footy over here.

1 . Satelite Dish .........I know NYT doesn't have one because the apartment complex he lives in won't allow the Dishes on the Building.
2. Go online and download Torrent's ..............I believe this is how he get's to see the Games.
3. Last and certainly LEAST is to watch the Video through the AFL Site (My viewing option , not by choice mind you )

The last option is very "Iffy" as you never know what the picture quality will be like from week to week , whether the site is working at all , whether the audio is going to work etc etc etc , I'm sure you get my drift.

Every week I hold my breath and close my eye's hoping it will come in , so far seen every game ( to a limited degree on occasion ) but it's better than nothing.

So there you have it. The fun of being an Ex-Pat trying to catch your Footy Fix isn't easy but we do what we have too.
Many sleepless nights if your up to listening to the radio Broadcasts live as well , but hey , that's what being a Diehard is all about.

Hope NYT doesn't mind me "Steppin' in" there.

Catch Ya.............

Thanks Jack for answering all correct.

Will add a little more. Watching through Satelite is similar to Foxtel - a whole lot of extra channels. However the footy is shown on a Premium Channel - an extra $10 a month on top of the standard monthly charge. For the most part it's more of a channel for bars and pubs. The footy is live, but I have a 6th month old baby, so can't go trekking to the Aussie bar to watch it...

well i am going (against my better jugdement). but if i made the trip to Sydney, and had a ripping good time, il be making it to Geelong!
Just pack your winter woolys peoples as its gna b freezing down there!!!!
C u all in the standing zone.

Not a fun day.

I was pretty much surrounded by cats and had to listen to their wisecracks all afternoon.

I called them all peasants a few times. They laughed at me. :'(

well after the journey down past the poo farm to the stench hole that is geelong, i must say i am mental. what decent warm bed loving tiger gets up at 8am, drives 2 hours to geelong, and stands for 6 hours in antarctic temperatures to watch the display that we put on! even the burgers couldnt pul thru for us.

got a bit feral at the end there too. bloody handbaggers only cheer when they are 70 points up with 5 mins to go. They are a special bunch. . . . . .
