I may be wrong but from a brief review of our complete list including rookies am I right in saying that the following players are the only ones who haven't had a game this year?
Casserly
Knobel
Limbach
Graham (Rookie)
Everyone else has had varying levels of time or at least debued in the ones. As far as I can tell Casserley and Knobel would have been in the picture except for prolonged injuries with Limbach and Graham just not being big enough to hold down a KPP possie, like MGuane though he has debued and Knobel will probably get a game before the end of the year.
Despite Santa still not really being satisfied (Shock! Horror! Gasp!), I believe this year and probably due in no small part to our atrocious run with serious injuries, has seen "the kids" being played longer and in greater quantities than any other year in my memory at Richmond. It is a credit that I do believe we really have "bottomed out" but our results have hidden it because of the quality of these newbies coming in - they have often managed to hold their own or even do better than their opposition week in and week out aka Raines.
Next year I believe we will not have Chaff, Tivva or Staff on our list - so unless we do something really stupid like give away draft picks for aging players we are going to have a very, very young list. And I am really looking forward to it!
PS. I might be prepared to accept a few more mature age Doggie bargains. Say Cross, Gilbee and Giansiracusa but only if the Doggies will pay a significant proportion of their salaries :hihi
Hell with it if they want to throw in Johnson as well they can - he's a veteran but we might be able to find a spot for him standing near Brown again. ;D
