Just wondering if anyone has an answer to the ?
As we use to use the Southern stand rooms and after the game we would cheer ;D the players off the ground.

we switched this year

I thought it may have had something to do with keeping the team away from the supporters in the Southern Stand area at the end of the games.
The decision to use the MCC rooms has killed off any atmosphere at the end of the games

Rooms are apparently bigger and better on the MCC side of the ground apparently.

Yep. Bigger, better facilities than the southern stand, same reason we switched from the old,old facilities to the new old facilities many years ago.

That's a surprise to hear that we switched.

My father, now retired, is an MCC guide.
He takes touring groups around the MCG.

One of the points in the past that he has stressed is that Richmond is the only AFL club to have a dedicated changing room at the MCG.

It's the only one that is permanently decked out in its club colours.

Must ask him.

because it prevents access to the ferals who'd storm the race with abuse and saliva extract.

That depends where you sit really. I've never enjoyed being at the footy more than when I sat next to our race in the red seats in the Northern stand. It was great having a chat to the players and coaches before a game and lining up to see them off after the game.

Saves the club a fortune in laundry costs. Due to the acidity, the stain caused by saliva requires a unique stain removing application.
