I for 1 am very dissapointed we have been so inactive in trade week. I hope GM pulls something out of the fire today. Why weren't we looking at Mconnel from West Coast, from all reports he is going to be a player and the Kangaroos got him pretty cheap IMO.

It is not like we don't need to make changes. All year on this site there have been calls for various players to be traded and nothing appears to have happened. Obvioulsy TW and GM see different things than most when it comes to the usual suspects.

You need to balance the prospect of injecting new blood with the cost of doing so (in terms of picks, players and dollars).

I'm happy with the way gm has handled things thus far.

We have tried to trade Tivvers & Hall, but we are to blame.

People on PRE have bagged the crap out of these players, do you really think opposition clubs would touch these players with a barge pole?

I wouldn't be surprised if clubs have passed their judgement reading the Tivendale & Hall threads. :P

Agree,

As I have mentioned in another post - the likes of McConnel, Welsh and Polak would have made more sense.

We also bagged the crap out of Fiora and the Saints took him - please lets not get too self inflated with our opinion of ourselves here on PRE

Simple really lads,

we got nothin that anybody wants........ie nobody wants a Tivendale, Hall or Krak.
They all want a Coughlan, Deledio or Brown.

We aint got any of the decent middle of the road player that generate trades.

Ya cant make Gold outta Cotton

To be fair, the who trade period has been really quiet.
No big name trades this year.
Fingers crossed we don’t get Green.

McConnell moved for a first round choice and a bit more, Welsh was never on the table, just a part of the annual pre-trade week sledging between Miller and Sheedy, Polak will require a first round choice and then the rest.

Any of these would be over the odds deals, as would Fevola be.

The shame is no move for Tivendale because he is likely to be delisted now.

Hall as improved in each of the last two years and is a worthwhile player, hence he was offered up to try to get Fevola.  Obviously Sydney preferred Richards for their first round choice. The Kangas want Hay so no deals possible there, Adelaide have 2 first rounders but don't need any more talls.  Every one else wants their first rounder.

Krakouer is obviously highly respected by the coaching staff, Chaffey is worthless on any market and probably has a year to run on his contract, Schulz is worth persevering with for another year or two.

Who is left?  Moore?  What could he be traded for? Not much.

Knobel is a lost opportunity but was probably made promises last year and trading him again now would be a low thing to do.

Hyde? Improving, a keeper.

Gilmour, Roach, Raines? Another lost opportunity because one will be delisted either now or at the end of next season.  Hopefully, their trade value will go up over the next year.

Rodan?  Keep him.  Greg Miller will have to show him a  bit of TLC over the next few weeks to keep him out of the PSD.
