well looking at the footage it clearly showed them working behind the knee. Maybe they were massaging the hamstring as well something they do during games.
 
Unless you were the one who assessed the injury, how would you know he should not have gone back on? with hindsight?

I'm not surprised they were massaging his hamstrings at 3/4 time, he does have issues with them, and they probably wanted to keep them loose and ready to go. You will see many players receive this treatment during any AFL game and most will be fine.

One thing I am surprised about is no mention of a possible trip to Germany if it's an on going problem
