That's the question I want the answer to. Why does the club find itself in this situation again? Why is the club on the verge of sacking another coach? Why has the coach been unable to get an acceptable level of performance from the players for any consistent length of time. Why do so many of Richmond's recruits, either new draftees or players from other club seem unable to match their accomplishments from elsewhere or fail to live up to their potential? Why has Richmond not made the finals since 2001? Why haven't they won a Premiership since 1980? Why haven't they participated in a Grand Final since 1982? I don't have any of the answers, no one does. It tears at my heart to see every other club in the league outstrip the Tigers while Richmond still flounder ineptly with a list composed of players who go about the game like they've never actually seen a football before, let alone know how to use it.
