Better to overplay than underplay!

;D

not necessarily - overplay too much and you become like Peter and his wolf - people stop listening because they assume its more poetic license once again

In any event Cous has done a fantastic job staying away from the hard stuff for 6 months plus now.

Agree with that. Definitely deserves kudos just for getting back to playing let alone making a significant contribution.
I hope he keeps it up.

remember last year cousns couldnt provide a hair sample and collingwood and st kilda decided against taking him because of rumours he was still on the hard stuff? well i reckon he probably had one last bender before calling it quits. yes he has done very well staying off the stuff, but he could easily relapse if he was forced out of footy. i'm not advocating we re-sign him for the benefit of his health - the club must come first. but gee, i think he has shown a fair bit.

If Cuz can play out the rest of this season with out injury, We would be mad to get ride of him.Already he has shown how to find the pill.We need his experience. 30/31 or not.On field class act. Got to stay play 50 games for us and help the rise of the Tiges. Stay fit Ben and show em what you got.

Agree - could/should make an ideal midfield coach if he maintains his recovery long-term.
I agree too, keep him on the list for one more year and then sign him as the midfield coach.

This aint the clubs decision. Its tne next coaches decision, so unless he's been appointed the club should stop making silly statements about the list. How the hell can any coach come to the club with any confidence if the club is makling list decision, before he even gets here. This is part of the reason for our continued failures over the last 29 years.

A new coach must be given the licence to make the decisions he see's need to be made to take the club forward, not be forced to make decisions that will keep the board or the supporters happy.
Who said the Club has released a statement saying this? Caro?? This is journalism and as we have seen so clearly in recent weeks, they can get it wrong.

Not a bad idea! His work ethic rubbing off on the younger players will either make or break them. Go for it!

If Sir Alex Feguson can make ERIC CANTONA captain after his troubles.....and win trophies.
I would support the "skipper cuz" movement... :rofl :rofl
