Will it really be that bad?

Thanks CC. Maybe I was fed a dummy. Wouldn't be surprised considering the source. His "FACTS" (TheBoss will know who I mean ;D ) are quite often nowhere near the mark.

Strictly backmen - Gaspar, Thursfield, Hall and Polak
Strictly forwards - Richo, Riewoldt and Kingsley

Swingmen - Hughes, Schulz, Moore, Jackson

In other words our key position types are fine. The ruckman however ...............

I assume when you say you mean 'fine' you mean 'fine' on paper. I look at that list and I see: a has been, a bunch of never weres, a star very much on the wrong side of 30 (still a very good player, but vulnerability to injury at his age must be a concern), a rookie coming back from a shocking injury and a couple of very young potential champions.

Polak to me is the interesting one out of that group. He has the background of someone that can play a swingman. Even though I didn't want him at the time for the price we seemed to be paying for him (like of a lot of others I was relieved when we got Riewoldt) he at least has both maturity and youth (and hopefully quality) on his side. Polak along with Schulz are the keys - not to old, not too young, laden with potential and able to play at both ends.

If they stand up, we'll be competitive in most matches we play. If they don't - it might get very ugly.

Riewoldt, strictly forward? unless your talking about nick then you're definitely wrong.

jack has played a lot of football down back. he was drafted as a key forward/back
