Spangher will be available at pick 8 for sure cos he has the Hurns, Ryders, Varcoes, Drums, Hughes, Murphy ect in front of him.
A Tall athletic  specialist CHB with 12 years ahead of him is a much better proposition than a Hay or a Fevola for sure, as is a younster such as Scott Meyer from Williamstown who is also tall athletic KPP who will be available a little futher into the draft,
These are the guys we need not these other duds.  :P

Spangher is listed at No.22 in FootyDraft.

What makes you say that this kid will be picked at 8?

Do you reckon FootyDraft don't have a clue?

Who said pick8 would be given up for a trade. Terry Wallace specifically said that no 1st round pick will ever be traded while he's at the helm.

I like the sound of that Craig RE Spangher.  I'd still consider a Fevola for the right price though (dont think the price would be right mind you), but not at the expense of a first round pick.  You can have the best of both worlds, a first round pick and maybe an up and coming player who for whatever reason may be on the fringe at another club.

Didnt realise you had to pick in the order footydraft specifies. So who have we got at #8?

Cheers

Obviously this one has gone right over your head. ???

What I meant was, if Spangher is supposed to be that good why isn't he predicted to be taken so low.

I prefere other sources than footy draft their GPB.
Spangher will no way go that low in the draft he is top 12 - 15 without a shadow of a doubt, and if the tigers dont take him if he is available or Hughes should he be available then we are not fairdinkum about building a future side that will grow together and realise success.
Why waste money on Fevola anyways we are still gonna have to resign Lids in a year or two and he will not come cheap neither will Blinga come cheap.

Because the worth of a player is only an opinion.  Here's a test, can it be done?  What was footdrafts prediction at the 14th of September last year and how accurate were their predictions.  Would be an interesting exercise.

Cheers

Why are we taking this so seriously?

Is this not just made up rumours?

Can some one enlighten me if this is true that we have actually spoke to them about Fevola?

Here, read Phantoms post which has an extract from a G.Miller email.

Thanks for that.

So after that email from GM, I ask why is everone so worried that we are after him?

Media were stating ( I have this second hand so I can't give you a source) that three clubs were after Fervola and that Carlton was definitely looking to trade. Three clubs quoted were, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Richmond.

Thank God Phantom had it from Miller that we don't want the guy. The impact on our young list (Phantom's point) given what a prat Fervola is as a person would have been devastating. That is why I am such a supporter for Brown. Brown is an absolute professional re his approach to the game and getting the best out of himself - that is the sort of stuff I like to see the kids learn which is why Graham was palatable. He was a teacher not a yobbo smartarse like Fervola who varies between utter arrogance when he is playing well to sulleness when he is not. What a natural leader for the club to think about.
