Well done to our recruiters.

But IMO today was the easy part, and one which we have done well by many peoples thinking.

Thats pretty much the same of many other years.

What kills us is the development of the players once we get them.

Whos optimistic we can turn that around this year.

Whats our chances on all 3 of these reaching their potential dressed in the Yellow and Black.

Hate to be negative, but my thoughts every year come back to our hopes resting on our player development turning around.

Yep, Foley and Thursfield have all been failures.

Don't think we're as bad at development as some think, but the problem has been compounded by lack of senior experience around the club to assist in this area.

Record membership = Record profit
Record profit = Better/more football staff
Better/more football staff = better recruiting
Better recruiting/new training facilities = better players
Better players = winning more games
Winning more games = playing finals
Playing finals = record profits

It's a cycle

Hold on to your hats. We're in for a good ride

for every foley or thursty their is a schulz etc

we need most draftees to make it if we are going to get somewhere, not just a few

But is that bad development or bad recruiting.

IMO the latter, but your question does have me thinking.

very good question.

a good question for the Phantoms and the reds and mojo.
