Hope I have got this right for you all tonight. Filthy on having to miss the cocktail party due to very nasty head cold. Anyway, despite some loss of concentration here goes.
Show opened as usual with the gorgeous Tiffany Cherry looking pretty good in red. her segment went on for quite a while as she ran around a lot of the clubs with little tidbits of news. Nothing startling though.
Then TW and Caro were on.
Apparently she... Caroline...is the first female to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Congrats all around for her.
Headsets on coaching staff at games was up for discussion next. Terry said some times he had accidentally tuned into the oppo wave length, but imeediately changes frequency. Caro did not believe him. Tw would rathe rely on the phone, rather than trust the headsets. he remarked on how in late 1990's one team had listened to the opposition for the whole game. They did not wint hough. hahah
The panel thought Michael Gardiner was damamged goods and that no team would pick him up. Terry was adamant he did not want him at Tigerland.
Then the current topic of pain killers. TW got quite emotional, saying we don't wan the game to be too sanitised. Not sure what he meant by this, but both he and Caro agreed that using pain killers were not performance enhancing.
Finally, a little on Richmond. Richo's injury and form was discussed and Caro wanted to know if he would play this weekend. Looks likely he will was the vibe I got. Caro did tackle Terry about his...Richo's lack of form, rather than injury. That was about it on the Tiges.
Caro divulged Sydney were very unhappy about the Ch. 10 commentary on the game against us. Thought it was far too negative, but are not going to make a complaint. Needless to say TW did not say much, except that it was a very hard, man on man contest for the first half.
The question was asked if Justin Koschitzke should play against us this week. Caroline was of the strong opinion he should not, then Terry labelled her "Dr. Wilson." She thought he still had a periphal vision problem. He said it should always be left to the medicos to decide. Stalemate!!
As usual, Spida Everitt got a guensey. It appears Geoff Kennett is adamant Spida will not get a 2 year contract. Who cares I say. Will he or won't he go to the Swans is almost a daily dose of trivia. (My words.)
Andrew McLeod is to miss 4 weeks, but the general consensus is they will keep on winning anyway.
A caller rang in and asked Caroline if she was still keen for the Kangaroos to still go to Cararra, given the problems with the NRL at that ground. Due to a coughing spell, missed the reply. Sorry.
There were then a couple more calls from fans, but nothing of any interest.
Discussion on whether Freo can stay in the eight. Caro thought Geelong would replace them.
Getting near the end now.
The run home of the top eight was shown, but pretty uninteresting as we don't get a mention of course, being out of contention.
Then some comments about Nick Davis. Caro got stuck right into Mick Malthouse for making such personal comments about him. She socked it to him big time and a caller later rang in congratulating her for calling it as she saw it.
Clinton then said someone had emailed in to say Caro was looking good tonight. She just smiled in her usual enigmatic way.
Next to last was Terry's team of the week. No surprises of no Tigers in the lineup.
Finally, TW's frustrating teams of the week. 1 vote...Bullies for losing a tough game by 1 point. 2 votes...Port for missing what should have been a winning goal. 3 votes....Carlton and Essendon for slugging it out all day for a draw.
And that my friends, is the end of the penny section for tonight. If there is an odd typo, then sorry, but this damn cold!!
